In additional to our Quarterly Meetings and Neighborhood Clean-Ups, the Thompson-Hunter Neighborhood Association hosts a variety of special events throughout the year that give us an opportunity to get to know one another and work together to fulfill our mission.
Annual Dinner & Diversity Meeting
Each January, we come together as neighbors to celebrate the rich diversity and history of the Thompson-Hunter Neighborhood over dinner and listen to stories from neighbors from past and present.
At last year's event, neighbors recounted stories of Crosby-Garfield School, neighborhood skating, tales of who had crushes on who, what was happening in the neighborhood in the 70's & 80's, and more -- stories that you may not hear during day-to-day conversation in the neighborhood. (Read over the notes from last year's meeting.)
This year, we had a panel of neighbors, representing a range of diversity throughout the neighborhood, and listened to their stories and ideas from the past, present and future of the Thompson-Hunter Neighborhood, to create a night of Dinner & Neighborhood Tales.
THNA Fall Festival
The cool, autumn weather creates the perfect time for us to gather as neighbors and enjoy food, festive games, fun and laughter together as a neighborhood. The 2nd annual THNA Fall Festival looks to build on the success of last year, and even includes a BBQ Cook-Off this year!
